Now that the year 2003 is here, what
changes will you make in your life? Will you kick a bad habit?
Lose Weight? Get out of credit card debt? Be more sexually
responsible? Start saving money? Year after year we all make new
promises that we very well intend to keep.
This year, why not take a different
approach? This year, make a promise to yourself to follow
through and stay committed to any changes you decide to make in your
life. You owe it to yourself to be the best you can be.
Make a resolution to commit!
If you vow to lose weight this year,
start out with small changes to help you stick to your plan.
Tell yourself that you will make a commitment to exercise for 15
minutes a day, five days a week, then move it up to 30 minutes a day.
The next thing to tackle would be your diet. Resolve to eat less
and more healthfully and begin by making positive changes in your
diet.
Smoking is a hard habit to kick, but
also a deadly one. Try limiting yourself to maybe 12
cigarettes a day and then continue to make the number allowed smaller
and smaller.
If you want to get out of credit card
debt once and for all, start by committing yourself to focus on paying
one credit card off at a time.
The task is easy if you are vowing to
become more sexually responsible. All you have to do is remember
each time you perform any type of unprotected sexual act, you are
skating with death. And lastly, if you want to try and save
money, start off with putting back a little at a time. There is
no sense in putting money in the bank or elsewhere only to get it
right back out. Start with a small amount and gradually add more
as you can. With the new
year brings new possibilities, new chances to start over, a clean
slate. Make your new year one that counts. Commit yourself
to sticking to whatever positive changes you make in your life.
