Beauty Tips
"Taking Care of Our Skin:  Part I"

Before you know it, summer will be here and it will be time to show much skin! But how can you care for your skin properly?  Well, we're here to help you find out!  This will be a two part series  to help you get on track.

There are six sections for us to tackle:
1.  Cleansing
2.  Moisturizing
3.  Exfoliating
4.  Skin Protection
5.  Skin Impurities/Conditions
6.  Nourishing from the inside out

Let's start with cleansing.  Cleanse your face twice a day regularly for a glowing complexion.  The best time is once in the morning and once at night.  when choosing a facial cleanser, make sure it is compatible with your skin type (oily, dry, combination, normal).  Avoid using hot water when cleaning your face because it can dry out your skin.  Oil-free cleansers are good for oily to combination skin.  Moisturizing cleansers are good for dry skin.

Moisturizing your skin is very important and helps protect your skin, no matter what type it is.  For oily skin, water-based and oil free moisturizers are best.  Neutrogena's healthy skin product line is great!  They contain vitamins that promote healthy skin.  It is better to apply vitamins for your skin topically--as you will get a better benefit from it for your skin than orally.  And yes, Neutrogena is good for our skin too!

Exfoliating is vital to all skin types, but especially to oily skin.  Ridding yourself of dead skin cells that block pores is a great way to keep your skin looking healthy.  Take your pick in the stores or make your own--we have recipes for you in the homemade house!

The rest of our skin care series will be continued.......
